Branch 24 Chicago, Illinois I’m happy to report our Christmas Party was a huge success. Eighteen children and forty-two grown-ups attended. President Charles Akai welcomed the parents, children, and guests. He assured all present an enjoyable afternoon. Our program was short, but nice. Children and grown-ups joined in singing Christmas carols. While the children were singing, good old Santa arrived with presents and goodies for the children. Delicious refreshments were served to all who were present. President Charles Akai did a good job as Santa again. I grew the rest myself.” Growing “the rest” is a lifetime job. old Santa Claus gave out one pound boxes of chocolate candy. The children joined in singing carols. A special thanks to the Home Office who donated a generous check which made this Christmas Party possible.
