Branch 8 holds its regular monthly meetings on the 2nd Sunday of each month, commencing at 2:00 P.M. in the Social Hall of the Hungarian Ev. & Reform Church at the comer of 9th Avenue and Chestnut Street (Cambria City) Johnstown, Penna. The officers and members of Branch 13, Trenton, N.J. would like to express their sincerest thanks to everyone who attended the annual dinner-dance on November 20, 1976. We are looking for­ward to another affair on November 5, 1977 so keep this date open and plan to attend. The annual election of officers for Branch 13 was held on Sunday, Decem­ber 5, 1976 at the American Hungarian Democratic Citizens Club with Director Frank J. Radvany presiding as chair­man. The following were unanimously elected to office. President, Frank J. Radvany, Vice-President, Joseph Hama­­ri, Secretary, Elsie H. Radvany, Treas­urer, Anthony C. Beke, and Controller, Betty Kennedy. After the meeting, we held our annual Children’s Christmas Party at which time stockings filled with goodies, gifts, and refreshments were served to the children and parents. Branch 13 is most grateful to the Home Office for its generous contribu­tion to our Children’s Christmas Party and we wish to express our sincere “thanks”. All the Officers extend Heartiest Greetings for a Happy New Year to one and all. 15 CHICAGO, ILL Branch 15 held its Christmas Party December 19, 1976, at The Richards Sauhammel’s Hall, 3614 North Damen, at 3:00 p.m. Yours truly opened the party by lead­ing the kids and their parents singing Silent Night and by Stephen Hodits with Jingle Bells. As usual, we had movies, cartoons for everyone. After the movies, Santa appeared and proceeded to distribute the gifts, stockings and candy canes. Joseph Subsits was Santa; Imre Bo­­sits, Steve Kiss and Frank Balogh were Santa’s helpers. The hot dogs and all kitchen duties were done by Mrs. Ruth Pehm. A small social for the parents of the children followed. It was a fine party; the hall was full, but I am sorry that the rest of you didn’t come. Joseph Hodits Secretary & Treasurer 18 DETROIT, MICH. Sunday, November 28, 1976, was the day for the children of Branch 18 to attend their Annual Christmas Party. Although it was a clear day, it was extremely cold but still approximately 100 children and parents attended the party. There was a short program con­sisting of singing carols by the children, a dance selection by Jennifer Szatmári and another dance selection by Deanna Danko, a dance selection by three young men dancers from the Dancers Hungária and then SANTA CLAUS. Everyone had a good time and many thanks to the branch officers and members who helped in the kitchen, helped get the hall ready and helped to distribute the gifts to the children. / The Annual Meeting for Branch 18 was held on Monday evening, December 6, 1976. There was a very large turn out even though the weather did not cooperate. This was the first time that social members from the Club were al­lowed to vote for branch officers. The following members are the new officers for Branch 18 and also the Social Club for the year of 1977. President, Stephen Danko; Vice Presi­dents, Andrew Toth and Stephen P. Danko; Secretary, Dorothy Csanyi; Treasurer, James Burinda; Controller, Frank Kender; and the five Auditors are Betty Kocsis, James Lochinger, Frank Kato, Edward Beres and Ray Holquin. Good luck to you new officers and may your term be fruitful! The Ladies Auxiliary of Branch 18 had their annual meeting and election of officers on Tuesday afternoon, De­cember 21, 1976, because of inclement weather conditions on Monday evening. The following members are the Auxil­iary Officers for 1977: President, Elvira Kubovics, Vice Presi­dent, Mary Gyorke; Secretary, Helen Danko; Treasurer, Jolán Lucas; and the two Auditors are: Martha Balosé and Mary Demcsak. I would like to thank the women who came out to attend this meeting because they left their Christmas cooking and baking to do so. I would also like to thank the three officers who did not run for re-election for their hard work and fine cooperation in making 1976 a suc­cessful one for the Auxiliary — Grace Csiszár, former Vice-President; Ann Leny, former Secretary and Julia Dan­ko, former Treasurer.
