Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lang from Bethlehem, Pa., were unable to attend, as they were celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary with their family. Mr. Lang sent his best wishes for a pleasant and enjoyable evening to all. Our congratulations and best wishes to our good friends, a well known and popular couple. After a delicious and fulfilling Dinner, our guests were welcomed and greeted by our Branch President, Mr. Peter Wlosak, also by Br. Manager Stephen Szemes, who introduced many of our guests who were present. National Director Frank Radvany, spoke on behalf of the Home Office and the benefits available in our Association. The highlight of the evening was the guest appearance of a well known Philadelphia favorite, Eddie Papp, who entertained us with popular Hungarian melodies with many requests for encores rendered by his pleasant baritone voice. A pleasant and delightful atmosphere prevailed throughout the evening with many old friends renewing the past. This 10 affair brings together representatives from many of our local organizations, being one of the highlights of the area’s social functions. Our committee made committments to hold next year’s affair, being the bi-centennial year, at the same location, Nov. 13, 1976. At our December Branch meeting, the officers for 1976 were elected. Two of our well known and active members, Mrs. Betty Wlosak and Mrs. Betty Lovas, we are glad to report are on the road to recovery. Mrs. Wlosak from major surgery and Mrs. Lovas from a severe cardiac attack. A get-well card or a phone call will greatly help to make their days more pleasant. We regret to report the passing of a long time friend and member, Julius Werner. He succumbed in his 63rd year after an extended serious illness. Our sincere sympathy to the immediate family. The past year is now for most of us a pleasant memory, and here is wishing all of you a happy and healthy one in the New Year. On my part I am looking ahead to some traveling, gardening, and hopefully lots of tennis after retiring in April, the Lord willing in good health.
