Mr. Stephen Lesco, newly elected National Director, then made the closing remarks calling on all Branch Members to pull together in the cause of Fraternity so that Branch 14 will once again prosper and flourish. John Balia. 9) Mrs. Betty Stroble, her Guests and the Audience. Branch 14 Christmas Party was held Sunday December 14th at Kossuth Hall. About 200 people attended including adults. A karate performance was given by about 20 young people to the delight of everyone present. There were three Santas present, the regular Santa, Mrs. Santa, and Grandma Santa. Betty Stroble arranged for the refreshments and sandwiches, the pop, coffee and other goodies. Director Steve Lesco was real busy as was his whole family making this Christmas Party the success that it was. Christmas stockings were given to the children as well as balloons,songbooks donated by the Home Office. Everyone joined in and sang Christmas Carols accompanied by an accordion player. We observed many prominent William Penn members among them we saw Mrs. Paksi, the Home Office representative in the Cleveland area, John Mraz, newly elected Treasurer of Branch 14, Mrs. Lesco, mother of our Director, Julius Hartman, John L. Balia, Vice President Branch 14, Katherine Torda, Helen O’Ravis, Mr. and Mrs. Cal Karnya, Mrs. Roza Julie Styta, Secretary elect of Branch 14. Our annual Christmas Party was held on December 7, 1975 at the Eagle Hall in Perth Amboy. Branch President and National Auditor Michael Hrabar welcomed the children and their parents and extended Holiday Greetings from the Branch and National Officers. Stephen Mészáros, Branch Manager served as Master of Ceremonies for the party. He led the children singing Christmas Carols and was accompanied by George Mirkovich on the accordion. Mr. Mészáros introduced Dennis Koval who presented a magic show which has been shown in many librairies throughout New Jersey. The program features the story of Dr. Seuss: “The Cat in the Hat”. The biggest features of our Christmas program was Santa Claus. Santa’s helpers were Mr. and M rs. Michael Hrabar, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Mészáros, Mr. and Mrs. George Mirkovich and Mr. and Mrs. A1 Kreger. On Decenber 16th all incumbent officers were unanimously reelected for the year 1976.
