He was pleased to turn over to Mr. Elmer Charles the Key of the City, and then to show his sincere regards for the Hungarians, he and Mrs. Perk danced a csárdás to the delight of the audience. A touching moment of the evening’s program was the unveiling of a portrait of the late Dr. Andrew Kovács, Director from Cleveland, Ohio. The William Penn Association Directors wished to memorial­ize the outstanding work Dr. Kovács had performed in the former Student Loan program by presenting his widow, Mrs. Margaret Kovács with a portrait of Dr. Kovács. Dr. Kovács had been an enthu­siastic supporter of the new Scholarship Foundation. Mrs. Kovács was unable to be present thus Vice President John P. The audience responded enthusiastically to the performance of the American-Hun­­garian Folk Dances, Directed by Miss Rita Karnya. This group presented some intricate and classical magyar dances and were the highlight of the evening’s en­tertainment program. During the course of the evening, sev­eral large contributions and pledges of money were made (these are listed else­where in this issue). Mr. Albert G. Kertesz, Tournament Administrator thanked the many bowlers for attending the Scholarship Dinner- Dance, thereby assuring its success. Invocation was by the Rev. Gábor Brachna, while benediction was by Dr. Stephen Sabo, Pastor United Church of Christ and Vice President Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. Councilman BOB LAUDIS, MRS.
