National Bowling Tournament and Scholarship Days in Cleveland, Ohio BANES FOR JUDGE OF COMMON PLEAS COURT We are most happy and pleased to inform our membership in general but those of Allegheny County in particular that our esteemed General Counselor GAY B. General Counsel Gay B. Banes BANES, J. D., is a candidate for Judge of the Court of Common Pleas, Allegheny County, Pa. He is a graduate of Ohio Northern University, B. S. in 1938 and Duquesne Law School J. D. 1944. Mr. Banes has been an active member of the William Penn all his life. He was instrumental in organizing the McKeesport English Branch. He served as a National Director of the Association for one term. Continued on Page 3 ANNUAL MEETING NOTICE In compliance with Article IV, Section 1 (as amended) the annual meeting of the William Penn Fraternal Association Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is called for Saturday, May 26, 1973 at 2:00 P. M. Statler-Hilton Hotel, Cleveland, Ohio for the purpose of electing Directors and for the transaction of such other business as may be necessary. All voting members of the Foundation are respectfully requested to attend this annual meeting. John Sabo, President Joseph Toma, Secretary By the time this magazine reaches the members, we will be only one month away from the 30th National Bowling Tournament to be sponsored by the WILLIAM PENN ASSOCIATION, on May 26-27, 1973 in Cleveland, Ohio. Throughout these past three decades many members from the various sections of the country have met to vie for top bowling honors in the Association, more importantly, however, these annual get togethers have spawned frienships which have grown in depth. With each passing year, many members look forward to this event more for renewing friendships than for the sport of bowling. This year our National Tournament has added a new dimension.
