a grand time was had by all. Rita Karnya’s dance group presented various traditional Hungarian dances in their Branch 14 Dancers usual entertaining manner. There was a children’s group that delighted the audi­ence with their rendition of the circle dances and csardases. The feature of the evening was a csárdás contest for golden agers, young people and children with real cash prizes. The ladies auxiliary provided excellent “harapni való” in the form of Lacsi Pecsenje, Torta and coffee. The men looked after the thirst of the gathering. Members are reminded that the annual election of officers will be held Sunday, December 6th, 1970. Everyone please at­tend this meeting to vote for the candi­date of their choice. One more brief announcement, all members are reminded of the forth­coming Children’s Christmas Party to be held on Saturday, December 12th, 1970. Bring the children and let them have a ball. The officers and members of Br. 14 wish all William Penn members a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous and healthy New Year. William S. Kastan, President, Br. 14 16 Perth Amboy, N. J. Branch 16 Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, December 6th from 1:00 p. m. to 3:00 p. m. at the Eagle Hall, 388 Smith St., Perth Amboy, N. J. Chair­­lady, Mrs. Ann Hrabar, guarantees a good time for all. All children members are invited to attend. 18 Detroit, Mich. Now that the summer months are over, our Branch is back in full swing again with activities. First of all the members of Branch 18 would like to congratulate Mr. Julius Macker upon his appointment as National Director filling the vacancy caused by the death of National Director Michael Faczan. As all of you probably know, Mr. Macker is our former National President and we all wish him many years of dedi­cated service as a Board member. Our Branch Bowling League is back in action with 22 teams in our league and already we are planning to take first place again at the National Bowling Tournament to be held in Pittsburgh, Director Steve Danko keeping score. Pennsylvania next year. Coming Activities: Plans are being made for our annual Children’s Christ­mas Party to be held in December im­mediately after our annual Election of Branch Officers, so be sure and set aside the second Sunday in December and our meeting will be held one hour earlier at 1:00 P. M. with the Elections and Party to follow right after the meeting. Dorothy Vespremi and Julia Danko February 13th, 1971 is the date to re­member for our annual Champagne Ball and tickets may be purchased from any Branch officer. You should get your tickets early as this gala event is always a sellout far in advance. The price is $7.50 per person and all food, light re­freshments, dancing to Frank Borisz and his Orchestra and door prizes are includ­ed in the price. Mr. Borisz is noted for his fine Hungarian and American music, so plan on attending if you wish to have the time of your life. The Champagne Ball will be held at a different location next February, “The Knights of Columbus Hall”, 25160 W. Outer Drive, Lincoln Park, Michigan, just west of Fort Street. Linda Susan Kish, daughter of Mr. William Penn Mixed League Members and Mrs. Stephen Kish of Allen Park, won both the titles of Miss Taylor from the Taylor Chamber of Commerce and also the talent portion of The Taylor Pagaent. Miss Kish’s life has been totally involved in music by singing for various hospitals and organizations and was dub­bed the “Songbird” by patients at the Wayne County General Hospital. As she grew older she continued her piano les­sons and sang with the Allen Park High School Choir. Her mantle piece at home is adorned with various trophies she has been awarded for her talents in this field. Her other endeavors include teach­ing beginning piano students. The ulti­mate prize in receiving her award is that she will compete in the Miss Michigan Contest next year and may end up by be­coming our own Miss America. Congratu­lations. Since this will be the final issue for 1970, we the Branch officers, Branch members and Sports Club would like to wish you one and all a very joyous Christ­mas Holiday and a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year.
