Mr. and Mrs. John Pinter members of Branch 19 celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with a family gathering at their home 328 Suydam Mr. and Mrs. John Pinter Street, New Brunswick, N. J. They were feted by their two sons. Gene and Julius and their families. There are 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. They also had a daughter, Irma, who is deceased. Mr. Pinter is well-known in the New Brunswick and nearby vicinities. He conducted the Pinter Moving Co. for more than 40 years, and has been retired for almost 9 years. Mr. Sutch, for many years was an active, sincere and dedicated Branch Manager and was always interested in promoting the fraternal programs of our Association. The Home Office has temporarily appointed Mr. Joseph Kapostasy President of Branch 20 to act as Branch Manager until a permanent replacement can be found. Vagh, member of Branch 26 recently was awarded the Purple Heart in Vietnam for injuries received in combat. He is recovering from his wounds in the Army Hospital in Zama, Japan. David has been in Vietnam since May. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David J. Vagh Frank Vagh, longtime members of the Association. David’s brother Frank is also a Vietnamese veteran. 28 Youngstown, Ohio We wish to thank Mr. Joe Pinkocze for the wonderful job he did on chartering our bus to New York City. Everyone enjoyed the trip. There was singing to and from New York. George Skebo did a good job serving the CHEER and etc. Our bowlers were glad to come in as winners — three womens team, Captains for winners: Kay Novak, Irene Pinkocze, and Peggy Sándor. Doubles, Mother and Daughter, Helen Kaluczky, and Jeannett Cherpak. All events first place was Helen. Our men did good also. Leroy Smiths team, doubles John Ashley and Russel Turner, Singles George Nemeth. So Youngstown did very good. We can’t forget A1 Sacks of Hicksville, L.I. who bowled with one of our mens team, he did very good. Vacationing were the following ones: Mary Wittway in California, Ann Wash our branch secretary and treasurer spent her vacation in Tucson, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sakasits spent their vacation in Dear Park, Texas. Eugene and Frances had the pleasure to visit with cousins and his uncle Mr. Julius Sakasits who is visiting from Vas megye, Hungary. Eugene hasn’t seen his uncle in 23 years. We are sure they had a wonderful time and talked about many, many things. Now they are planning on a trip to Hungary in 1970. How nice.
