Many guests took advantage of the fine offer made by the hotel and arrived days ahead to enjoy the many attracting sightseeing possibilities offered by the big city. The tournament started with the wel­coming words of Branch 48, president, Albert Ibos at 9 o’clock. He introduced national president Elmer Charles. Mr. Charles after his usual inspiring talk to the bowlers and their friends, rolled out the first ball. (It was well done, but he didn’t get a strike!) It was a pleasure to watch the bowlers having a grand time, enjoying the games immensely. The bowling ended in the early after­noon and everyone got ready for the cocktail party. At 5:30 o’clock four areas were set-up to serve refreshments to all the guests present. It was a difficult task to end the party at 7 o’clock. Everyone seemed to enjoy the change from the usual dinner routine. At 8:45 o’clock director Joseph Toma welcomed the guests and called on Patricia E. Radvany Two William Penn members of Branch 13, Trenton, New Jersey were the re­cipients of scholarship awards at the Annual Scholarship Award Dance spon­sored by the American-Hungarian Civic Association, Trenton, N. J. The area high school graduates were László Adam, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Adam of 52 Betts Avenue, Trenton, N. J. and Patricia E. Radvany, daughter of National Director and Mrs. Frank J. Radvany of 2006 Yardley Road, Morrisville, Pa.
