Christmas caroling. A piano selection was given by Mary Farkas. Special entertainment was given by Belfiore Christmas Party. Branch 70, Newark, N. J. Students Accordion Band with Celeste Belfiore at the piano. Santa Claus (Henry Sincock) then arrived and distributed gifts to the happy children. Refreshments were served which included soda, hot dogs, ice cream, candy and cookies. Mr. Steve Vidám, Br. President, expressed his best wishes to everyone. The Home Office is pleased to announce that effective January, 1969 Mrs. Anthony Noel, 617 Cheney Road, Springfield, Del. County, Penna. 19064 has been appointed as Manager of Branch 76. Any member of the branch requiring servicing of their William Penn insurance should contact Mrs. Noel. Our meeting was held on January 11, 1969. We would like all of our Branch 76 members to know that election of officers was held, and that the same officers of the previous year were reelected. Congratulations to all! If you would like to have a truly Hungarian night out—Philadelphia Br. 76 has been cordially invited to attend a Dinner-Daance on March 15, 1969, at the Polish American Club, located at Yardville, N. J., sponsored by Trenton Branch 13. For more specific details read the next issue of Wm. Penn News, but in the meantime, let’s circle that date March 15, 1969. Another date to keep in mind, is the Bowling Tournament to be held in New York City on Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st, 1969. We’ve had such wonderful times in the past, so let’s make that date for New York City! Make your reservations, NOW!—before you forget. A little bird has told us that really this year we have some surprises in store for you, so come on and make those reservations! Philadelphia Branch 76 was proud to have held their Annual Christmas Party. As you can see from the picture herewith, a good time was had by all the children. Santa himself was truly a jolly asset to our party, and I’m sure he had a special thank you for a certain Mr. Gergely who couldn’t be closer to him (perhaps even Mr. Santa himself, hummn-hmn?). Our next meeting as usual wiR be held on the 2nd Saturday night of the month, at the Philadelphia Hungarian Club (1125 Southampton Rd., Phila.) at 8 p.m. Hope to see you then, as we Branch 76, Philadelphia, Pa. Christmas Party. plan to discuss events coming up after the Bowling Tournament — as summer activities and fall dances, etc. Let’s make it a good meeting—only you, Br. 76 members, can make this organization in Philadelphia the success it should be! Our Annual Christmas Party was held on December 20, 1968, at the Hungarian Hall, 8 th Ave., Homestead, Pa. The Christmas Party at Br. 89, Homestead, Pa. party was a huge success. Mr. Bert Priam, President greeted the children and parents on behalf of the Officers of Branch 89. Maragaret Evans led the singing of Carols. Christmas Movies were shown by the'. Supervisor of Agencies, Mr. Gus Nagy, assisted by his daughter Gail. Refreshments were served Mr. Nagy presents Citation to Mr. Zagnansky. by Mrs. Elmer Toth and Mrs. Mary Priam. Then came Jolly old St. Nicholas with his Jingle Bells and Knapsack on his back and presented each child with gifts of toys, fruit and candy. Our Secretary-Treasurer, Elmer W. Toth did a splendid job of Santa Claus. Immediately after the Christmas Party, Illustrious Citations were presented to Mr. Michael Zagnasky, Sr. and Mr. Andrew Solay, by Supervisor of Agencies, Mr. Gus Nagy. Mr. Andrew Solay could not attend the presentation on account of his job, he had to work that day. A delicious lunch was served for this festive occasion and all those who stayed and participated had a very good time. All members of Branch 89 and all surrounding branches are invited to attend a Dinner-Dance, sponsored by Br. 89 to be held sometime in the fall, no date has been set. Alexander Turoczi, Jr., a member of Branch 159, Phoenixville, Pa., was recently ordained into the ministry at Rev. Alexander Turoczi, Jr. Wilmer Chapel, a non-sectarian denomination.
