Mary Ann Stanko 22 Roebling, N. J. Branch 22, Roebling, N. J. is saddened by the death of our secretary, Dezső Bojtos. He has served as our secretary since 1956. Approximately 15 or 20 members, led by Branch President Béla Emri, paid their last respects. 28 Youngstown, Ohio The weather outside is frightful. I’ve tried to close my eyes to the fact that winter is just around the corner. Around that same corner is Christmas, so I guess that is something pleasant to look forward to between now and next spring. As I reported last month, it will be our pleasure to help Santa Claus entertain our little members (thru 12 years of age) on December 8th this year. We will be waiting with Santa at 1:30 p.m. at St. Stephens Auditorium, 854 Wilson Avenue on Sunday, Dec. 8th. We hope that the program which will include refreshments and gifts will delight the wee folks. In all probability this will be the last issue to reach us before Christmas. In the name of our Branch 28 officers and members, I wish all Wm. Penn members, everywhere, a joyous holiday season. May this Christmas season see the end of the strife both here at home as well as in the far east. Fraternally yours, Margaret Turner Ashley 48 New York, N. Y. The Officers A Poll of Our Members For A Florida Bowling Tournament This Poll has nothing to do with the National political scene where we are subjected to one kind of poll or another every day. This Poll is for WILLIAM PENN MEMBERS. Management is desirous of determining how many members would be willing to go to SUNNY FLORIDA for the 1970 NATIONAL BOWLING TOURNAMENT AND FELLOWSHIP DAYS. Many times we have been asked why don’t we go to Florida, California or Hawaii etc., with our Tournament affording the Bowlers and friends an opportunity to see some of AMERICA at special rates, thus, it was decided to Poll the TEAM CAPTAINS and members through the William Penn Life. Hotel rates and air rates are available at a discount. If there is sufficient interest the Board will act at its December meeting. Specimen rates are shown here. If you are interested, please fill out the coupon below, detach and return to the Home Office no later than November 15.
