OFFICIAL PUBLICATION OF THE WILLIAM PENN FRATERNAL ASSOCIATION Aloysius C. Falussy, William Penn Director, Died On September 6th In New York City Hospital BRANCH CHILDRENS' CHRISTMAS PARTIES The time is rapidly approaching when Branches must make preparations for the Childrens Christmas Parties. As in the past the Home Office will prepare invitations which the Branch can then send out to all of its juvenile members 12 years old and under. The Association will help subsidize these parties to the extent that has been provided by the Board of Directors. We urge as many Branches as possible to hold these parties for our children. Forms for requesting printed invitations and Carol books will be mailed to all those Branches which held a Christmas Party last year. If your Branch did not arrange one last year and you contemplate arranging one this year send a letter to the National Secretary and he will send you the necessary forms. All requests must be in the Home Office by November 15 in order for the Home Office to get all the necessary printing done and mailed to you in time to mail out to the children. Childrens Christmas parties have proved to be well received in the past and we would like to see this activity expand. Mr. Falussy who has been director of our Association for 21 years died suddenly on Friday, September 6th in Flower and Fifth Hospital.—The following eulogy was delivered by president Charles at the Board of Directors meeting on Sept. 9. A special requiem mass also was held for him in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Sept. 11th and attended by all members of the Board, the Officers and employees of the home office. The Mass was celebrated by director Fr. Andrew Jacobs of Detroit, Mich, and assisted by Vice President Louis Varga and Albert J. Stelkowics, National Secretary. share of planning and preparation for the future, because we were always accustomed to getting opinions and ideas from him which widened our horizons. IN MEMÓRIÁM With sadness in my heart I mold into words the tragic truth that we have all known for several days, that our friend, fraternal brother and colleague had been called to his just reward by his Maker in the prime of his life, in the 63rd year of his earthly life. At this very moment burial services are being conducted for him in the City of New York and for this reason I wish to take this time to eulogize him, because unfortunately, we cannot be present in New York to personally attend his funeral. I, myself, on Saturday, when I learned of his passing, felt frustrated. We were preparing for this quarterly meeting of the Board and a tragedy such as this had to occur, when with all the warmth of our hearts, memories of friendship and fraternal loyalty demanded that I be at his bier, the bier of he, who at this meeting was expected to do his ALOYSIUS C. Varga and Directors, Joseph Toma, Michael Hegedűs, Frank Bero and Frank Radvany to participate and represent the Association on Saturday evening memorial services. Aloysius C. Falussy was born 1905 in Szatmárnémeti, Szatmár megye, a famous county of which he was proud. At the age of 3, he came to the United States of America and with the help of his loving parents and through his (Continued on page 3) The 1969 William Penn Bowling Tournament and Fellowship Days WILL BE HELD AT NEW YORK CITY ON SATURDAY, MAY 31ST AND SUNDAY, JUNE 1ST. - HEADQUARTERS: HOTEL NEW YORKER, 34th STREET AND 8th AVE.
