Christmas Party was held on Sunday, December 10, 1967 in the St. Stephen’s Parish Hall with approximately 80 children attending. President, Frank Radvany, Jr. welcomed the children, parents and guests followed by a great performance by a Magician, a solo by Stephen Foster, one of our juvenile members. Santa Claus arrived, adding to the enjoyment in presenting gifts and goodies to all the children. The Ladies Auxiliary and the Branch donated 20 cash door prizes. Winners were: Carolyn Radvany, Nancy Kovács, Joyce Vágott, Karen Cammarata, David Didrence, Laurel Vágott, Christine Andreas, Barbara Vizsolyi, Janet Virok, Heilda Farkas, Judith Foster, Linda Rubi, Stephen Nagy, Diane Kovács, Stephen Viszolyi, Cindy Astore, Linda Melovich, Marianne Virok, Thomas Andreas, and Robin Hornyak, Refreshments were served to complete this festive party. Our thanks to the following Branch Officers and Auxiliary members who helped make this party a success: Frank Radvany, Jr., President; Frank Radvany, Vice-President; Alex Virok, Sr. Treasurer; John Hegedűs, Secretary; Margaret Kovach, Mrs. Frank Radvany, Jr., Nicholas Vágott and Stephen Vágott. Our deepest sympathy to the family of Michael Szantay who died on November 6, 1967, he was a member for 35 years and an ex-officer at the Branch. On December 3, 1967 Branch 13 held Election of Officers, Mr. Frank Radvany, Sr. was elected to be Chairman for elections. The following were elected: Frank Radvany, Jr., President; Stephen Vechy, Vice-President; Alex Virok, Sr., Treasurer; John Hegedűs, Recording Secretary, Joseph Virok, Branch Auditor. 19 New Brunswick, N. J. Branch 19, New Brunswick, N. J. held its Christmas Party on December 10th at the H.A.A.C. Auditorium with approximately 500 attending. This was our biggest Christmas Party in many years. The program, which consisted of a Magician, a Ventriloquist, and a barbershop quartet leading the carol singing, was well received and enjoyed. — Santa was Mr. Edward Miller, again doing an excellent job. He really likes children. The arrangements committee members were: Alex Horvath, Joseph Arvay, Mary Ann Stanko, Ruth Vasvary, Susan Megyesi, Theresa Miller, Barbara Hegedűs, Michael Hegedűs, III, and Michael Hegedűs, Jr., chairman. Guests from Branch 16, Perth Amboy were Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Mészáros, and from Branch 51, Passaic, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bednarz. Many thanks for all the help we received from our Committee and friends. Mary Ann Stanko 27 Toledo, Ohio Branch 27, Toledo, Ohio, held its very successful Christmas Party on Sunday, December 17th at St. Michael’s Hall. The party was attended by about 200 happy participants. Mr. John R. Chick, branch manager was chairman of the party, and led the Children in singing Christmas carols. After singing, the children were served refreshments and Santa passed out gifts. Mr. Andrew J. Gall performed the duties of Santa Claus. The other workers on behalf of the branch were: Mr. John Nagy, Mrs. John Nagy, Mr. Julius Rákos, Mrs. Kathy Rákos, Mrs. John Morki, Mrs. Kathleen Chick and Miss Stephanie Ivancso. John R. Chick, Br. Mgr. 48 New York, N. Y. Branch 48, of New York City, held its annual Christmas Party for the Juvenile members on Saturday, December 16th, 1967, at the Arpad Hall, 323 East 82nd St., New York City. The turnout was tremendous, and it can be stated that all who attended, both parents and children were pleased. Thanks should be given to the following officers and members who helped with untiring effort: Mrs. Margaret Marhan, Mrs. Mary Huthansel, Mrs. Sylvia Toma, Mrs. Ann Varga, Mimi Matthes, Mrs. Mary Orbán, Mr. and Mrs. John Május, Mrs. Rita Pramaggiore. Branch President Albert Ibos welcomed the guests in his opening remarks, followed by Mr. Joseph Toma who conveyed the best wishes of our National Officers, and Board of Directors. Vice President Charles Fabian, acted as Santa Claus, and it must be said, that he did an outstanding job. 70 Newark, New Jersey Once again, the William Penn Fraternal Association was host to approximately 65 children at its annual Christmas Party on Sunday, December 10th, 1967. 6
