The picture indicates — ALL POINTS OUR HOMES FOR TWO DAYS IN YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO The Hotel Ohio, Our Headquarters. The Beautiful Voyager Motel The Romantic Holiday Inn Motel. Did you mail in your reservation? If not, please do it NOW! LEAD TO YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO, JUNE 1 and 2, 1968. By now, all of the bowlers should have received their information regarding squad times, prize lists, reservations for hotel, motel and banquet, etc. Bus schedules will be passed out in a packet when the bowlers check in, along with any other information which at last minute may become necessary. As mentioned in past issues, the buses are costly and as they are for the convenience of the bowlers and their guests, they should be utilized to the fullest degree. The buses will, on the way to the bowling alleys follow a scenic route through our famous Mill Creek Park—along Lake Glacier and proceed to the lanes. At 8:45 A.M. the opening ceremonies will take place. As something unique is planned we are sure all of the bowlers will be on time. Our National President, Mr. Elmer Charles wili roll the first “STRIKE”????? of the tournament, (we hope that he has been practicing). Then the competition will start. Remember that for those that require breakfast that the hotel and the lanes will have a buffet breakfast to take care of all the bowlers in a hurry. For those at Holiday Inn, a bus will be available, should the need warrant it, along with any other information necessary for the bowlers and guests. For those coming in early Friday, our Welcoming Committee will be on hand to greet you. The local teams will bowl on Friday at 9:00 P.M. at Wedgewood and for those that want an early start on the festivities—we have just received word, that Wedgewood Lanes have made arrangements with FRANK BORISZ COMBO to play at the bowling alley from 9:30 P.M. to 1:30 A.M. on Friday (How about that! . . . Music to bowl by) This is the same orchestra from Breaksville, Ohio that will entertain us at our Dinner Dance Saturday night. Frank Borisz and his 7 piece Continental orchestra have played in many of our larger cities and has been recognized as one of the best. We are happy to be able to have him with us, as his music has kept many All points show that Youngstown is equally distant between Pittsburgh and Cleveland and New York and Chicago. a “foot” moving to his delightful tempo both in American and Hungarian style. As for the return trip to motel or hotel— all will be back in ample time for our Dinner Dance which will start promptly at 6:30. We ask all to be as prompt as possible. With a short program, we feel that there will be more time for dancing —reminiscing old time—and meeting a lot of new faces along with some of our “old timers.” Our toastmaster Mr. Julius Lenart, National Vice President, will keep the program rolling to everyones’ satisfaction. All in all—The Youngstown Committee wants everyone to enjoy this memorable year and have expanded every effort to make this a most successful tournament. Therefore along with the Branch 28 Officers and members and the local tournament committee we say: Congratulations and thank you to the William Penn Fraternal Association on their 25th year of sponsoring the Bowling Tournaments and may we wish all the bowlers Luck and Success in their bowling.
