Miss Somergary is majoring in French and upon graduating, intends to enter the teaching profession and make it a career. Miss Somergary is a former member of the Junior Club and the Dance Group of Branch 18 and was always a very active member in these and other activities at the branch. We now have a mixed bowling league consisting of 64 men and women and this adds up to 16 teams. How’s that for starters? So look out all of you other bowlers next year when we meet in New York City! Here is an invitation to all of our branch members and their friends. Mark your calendars for next February 15th when Branch 18 will have their second annual “Champagne Ball”. It will be held at the Hungarian Reformed Church Hall in Allen Park and will include such lavish items as Champagne on each table, all of your favorite refreshments and some good old fashioned “Kolbász”, “Paprikash” Potatoes and much more. There will be dancing to two top flight local orchestras. Joe Balint and his orchestra will play his traditionally fine Hungarian music and for you more orthodox Hungarians, American music will be furnished by John Vespremi and his “Naturals”. Several door prizes will be given away and the main event of the evening will be the raffling of a brand new “Color Television”. So how can you lose? But there is one catch, all tickets must be purchased in advance, so don’t lose out on this event.
