2. füzet - Hankó Zoltán: A hidraulika kismintakísérletek a folyószabályozás szolgálatában
194 Hankó Zoltán Due to the lack of suspended sediment in the model it is likely that there will be higher erosion in the model than in the prototype; Increased channel-bed erosion will be induced due to the fact that vertical distortion results in solid banks at steeper bank-slopes, especially in cases where the river has a tendency for bank-erosion; Channel changes of the model will indicate tendencies only (tendency for scouring or deposition) when continuous discharge of sediment from the upstream can not be secured in the model and neither the time-variation nor the absolute magnitude of the processes can be estimated. Consequently sediment discharge, arriving from the upstream, must be secured in the model.
