2. füzet - Balásházy László-Liebe Pál-Lorberer Árpád-Neppel Ferenc: A vízrajzi tevékenység fejlődése a felszín alatti vizet területén
240 Balásházy L., Liebe P., Lorberer A. és Neppe l F. The paper has separate chapters to depict the development of activities in groundwater, deep groundwater, and karstic water primarily in VITUKI but also at the regional water authorities (Fig. 1). As far as groundwater is concerned, its observation network has been presented supplemented by the development of soil-moisture measurements and by the work executed in the experimental areas. In the realm of deep groundwaters a great part of the paper was devoted to the description of data processing acquired from bored wells and from waterworks (Fig. 2), beside the presentation of the observation network and of a network operated by the Hungarian Geological Institute (MÁFI). Recently, quality observations were developed by isotopic measurements. In the karstic realm a spring measuring network has been developed which has extended its activity to non-karstic springs, alike. In the paper these springs are discussed together with the karstic springs. Our karstic observation network was deployed primarily in the Transdanubian Central Massive in connection with the dewatering of mines. Therefore, the data acquisited by the mining companies have the same importance like those measured by the water sector. Followingly, the work of the Karstic Research Station at Jósvafő has been presented (Fig. 5) followed by details of the lowering of the karstic water table at Nyírád due to intensive pumping, and by the discharge problems at Lake Hévíz (Fig. 6).
