Nádasdladány, Nádasdy-kastély

angol Tudor-stílust választotta, amelyet az építész a középkori várépítészetből vett mtívumokkal elegyített. A kastély rendelkezett víz- és csatornahálózattal is. A vizet szivattyúval nyomták föl az épület sarkán lévő torony felső szintjére, egy nagy tartályba, innen került a fürdőszobákba és vécékbe - igaz, meleg víz csak a grófi család fürdőszobájába jutott. Az egyik teraszra egy fröcskölőberendezés révén gombnyomásra üdítő záport lehetett varázsolni a nyári forróságban. Az épületbe illeszkedő, bástyaszerű víztorony tartálya alatti szinten hidegkonyha, a földszinten társalgó, az alagsorban ezüstkamra kapott helyet. A kastélyparkban lévő mesterséges tó pariján, egy dombon apró víztorony áll, amely a kerti szökőkutak működtetésében játszott szerepet.

style. The architect combined this with the castle architecture from the middle ages. The castle had its own water and sewage network as well. The water was pumped into a large tank on the top of the tower from where water was distributed to the bathrooms and toilets, although hot water was only available in the bathroom of the Count and Countess. One of the terraces had sprinkler equipment to give some relief from the summer heat. Under the castellated water tower, that was integrated into the building, there was a cold buffet kitchen, a drawing room at ground level, and in the basement there was a silver vault. On the bank of the artificial lake in the castle park there was a small water tower that was used to operate the fountains.
