Referring to today's conversation, I herewith confirm that PAD has made you several offers of longer assignments limiting them, however, to two years. In view of the Hungarian Government's reluctance to release you, these offers oould not be implemented.

I also confirm that your name has bean suggested for the post of senior consultant at the United Rations Water Centre. IXiring discussions in whioh I took part the United Nations repeatedly requested the Hungarian Government to make your services available. However, here again, agreement oould not be reaohed because of the Hungarian Government's reluotanoe to release you, giving as a reason that you have important tasks to fulfill at home. The post offered you by the United Nations was that of senior oonsultant in the Direotor category.
