locality agrees well with those established for the bird Sitta neumayer l MICHACH /RUCNER, 1963/. The biotope where this mouse was found consists of rocks and stony debris with a scarce plant cover, belonging to the association Seslerlo-Ostryetu m, with Asparagus acutifoliu s, Smilax asper a, Crataegu s sp,, Ostrya carpinifoll a, Fraxinus ornu s, Juniperus oxycedr a etc. The rocks are exposed to the south, and rise steeply from the valley. In general the biotope, except for the plant cover, agrees with those established for this mouse by DANFORD and ALSTON /1877/, HATT /1959/, NIETHAMMER /1962/, and PESEV /1962/ According to ELLERMAN and MORRISON-SCOTT /1951/, the area of distribution of A. mystaclnu s includes Yugoslavia, Greece, Albania, Asia Minor, and Palestina; PESEV /1962/ quotes it from Bulgaria, VERESCAGIN /1959/ mentioned it also from the Minor and Major Caucasus, and HATT /1959/ from Iraq. It is evident that the new locality is the northernmost one in the entire area of Apodemus mystaclnu s, thus we have to correct the known confines of its range. Any further extension of its occurrence toward the north in Europe is not very probable. ÚJ adatok az Apodemus mystaclnus epimelas (Nehring, 1902) (Mammalia, Rodentia) jugoszláviai előfordulásáról Irta: Dulic Beatrix Zágrábi Egyetem, Természettudományi Kar, Állattani Intézete, Zágráb A szerző cikkében leirja az Apodemus mystacinu s elterjedési területén, annak legészakibb lelőhelyét. Az uj lelőhely Grizane falu közelében van, Horvátország /Jugoszlávia/ nyugati tengerparti részén, Fiume /Rijeka/ városától 40 kmre délre.
