Y., held a dinner-dance and presentation ceremonies for two of its faithful workers and veteran officers of the past fifteen years, Director Albert Ibos and Mrs. Victor Orbán. The event, at which the honored guests were presented with the As­sociation’s highest awards, took place at the First Magyar Presby­terian Church hall Saturday, Novem­ber 12, 1955, at 8:00 P. M. The composite picture above gra­phically tells the story of one of the finest programs ever to grace the social life of Branch 48. A glance at it and we quickly see the honored guests and recognize members of the Association’s officialdom. We see too the many members and guests as­sembled to share in giving honors to Mrs. Orbán and Mr. Ibos. Joseph Toma. Field Supervisor and Manager of Branch 48, welcomed the guests and introduced the speakers of the evening. Invocation was said by the Rev. Ladislaus Harsanyi. The Rev. Emery Kovács, of the East 69th Street Presbyterian Church, addressed his words on the grand works of the past fifteen years by the two recipients of the Illus­trious Citation and Gold Medal...... At the request of Director Aloysius C. Falussy, National Auditor John Sabo presented Direc­tor Ibos with the Association’s highest awards, while National Se­cretary-Elect .Albert J. Stelkovics presented Mrs. Orbán with the same top honors of our society. Tfuly the two deserved the Illustrious Citation and Gold Medal for their loyal ser­vice to society and to branch. Maria Kondor, well-known Hun­garian songstress of New York, sang beautifully for an appreciative audience, and the music of Peter Zory and his orchestra enhanced the entertainment. The. sumptuous dinner was the splendid culinary results of Mrs. John Marhan, Mrg. John Terebesy, Mrs. Ann Varga, Miss Margaret Var­ga and Mrs. Dobos. Mark. Member-Elect of the Auditing Com­mittee, from Mr. and Mrs. William Nemeik, members of Branch 48, and from Paul Teleky, manager of Branch 38, Ronkonkoma, N. Y. OFFICIAL NOTICE TO THE BRANCHES Official notification of the new name of our society, WILLIAM PENN FRATERNAL ASSOCIATION, was recently sent to all the branch managers To facilitate acquaintance with the name change in the shortest possible time, the following recommendations are given: 1. Notify your post office of the name change. 2. Notify your bank also and procure new checks with the William Penn Fraternal Association name. 3. Continue using your supplies from the Home Office until notified otherwise and new supplies are sent you. It is advisable for the sake of clarity and uniformity that you use the WILLIAM PENN FRATERNAL ASSOCIATION, or in Hungarian, WILLIAM PENN FRATERNALIS EGYESÜLET, in its complete spelling rather than any abbreviation. — THE HOME OFFICE NOTICE TO MEMBERS OF BRANCHES 14, 366, 573 Field Supervisor Leslie J. Dus resigned his position on November 15, 1955. Mr. Dus will continue to manage the branches named above for the remainder of the year, or until a successor is named.
