Church Hall, 1710 Clearview St. It was decided to hold future regular monthly meetings at the same place on the first Sunday of each month, when collection of dues will commence at 1 p.m. The following officers were elected for the year of 1952: President, John Nemeth, 500 Thorp St., Dunmore, Pa.; Branch Manager, Anthony Racz, 1824 Bundy St., Scranton, Pa., phone 25076, who is to be contacted on all matters pertaining to the business of the Association, also: Auditors Joseph Fuzzi, Ignatius Hayner; sick visitors Joseph Kish in Central City and W. Scranton, Frank Sipos in N. Scranton, Louis Kovács in Throop, Pa., and Anthony Racz in Dickson City, Pa. ANTHONY RACZ, Manager. ROSSFORD, O. Branch 194 ANNOUNCEMENT Members are requested to keep in mind that dues are payable, whenever possible, at the monthly meetings and that w'hen several months’ dues are paid at one time, the discounted rates are appliable only if .the payment is made in advance. In other words, if a member pays for three months but is in arrears with one month, the three-month discount is not appliable because only two months are paid in advance while the one month payment is to cover arrears. A substantial saving results if payment is made for 12 months at one time, and there also is a saving in paying 6 o>r 3 months, but only if the entire payment is made in advance. So if a member w'ishes to enjoy the benefit of a 6-month discount and is in arrears with one month, he should pay for 7 months, of which one month will cover the arrears and the 6 months will be as paid in advance. Please do not demand a discount refund on payments only partly in iadvance. There are so many misunderstandings due to this rule that iit seems necessary to call the attention of all our members to the principle governing payments at the discount rate. JOHN MOKRI, Manager. MEISTER TWINS JOIN VERHOVAY IN TRENTON Leslie and Julius Meister Twins seems to be the fashion nowadays, for again we have opportunity to introduce to our readers a new set, Leslie and Julius Meister, who became members of the Association at Branch 417 in Trenton, N. J. Field Supervisor- Frank J. Cher sponsored their admission to the Verhovay, together with that of their parents who arrived in the United States six months ago. Branch 417 was happy to extend a brotherly welcome to the newcomers who had spent years of hardships in the D. P. camps of Western Europe. Now they proudly join the Hungarians and Verhovayans in Trenton in the American way of life, thankful for the liberties land opportunities of the world’s greatest democracy. When you can’t put down a new novel, it’s usually for fear the children may pick it up and read it.
