District Manager Promoted To Assist Branch-Managers In Youngstown Area The Home Office announces the appointment to Visiting- District Manager of Mr. Gabriel Nameth, District Manager of branches 108, 364 and 514, Youngstown, O., effective April 1, 1951, to the following branches: 21, Youngstown, O., 26. Sharon, Pa., 66, New Castle, Pa., 106, Niles, O., 141., Ellwood City, Pa., 142, Campbell, O., 171, Shrapsville, Pa., 338, Warren, O., and 477, Niles, O. Since assuming the management of branches 108, 364 and 514, District Manager Gabriel Nameth has produced outstanding results both in the securing of new business and in the preservation of the membership. Being a well versed, widely experienced and obliging man, his help undoubtedly will be of great benefit to the managers of the branches assigned to his district, who are urged to extend to him every possible cooperation and to avail themselves of his assistance in the securing of new business. His address is: Mr. Gabriel Nameth, District Manager, 412 Wick Bldg., W. Federal St., Youngstown, O. We congratulate Mr. Nameth upon his promotion and extend to him our best wishes for success in his enlarged field of responsibilities. Servicemen Discontinue Membership In Accidental Death Benefit And Sick Benefit Department The attention of all branch managers and members entering military service is called to the provisions according to which members of the armed forces cannot retain membership in the accidental death benefit and in the sick benefit departments. As ija the last war, membership in these two classes is discontinued upon entering military service. Reinstatement may be applied for after return to civilian life, the same way as was followed by veterans of World War II. Of course, this provision does not apply to membership in any life insurance class, only to the accidental death benefit and sick benefit class which does not cover military service. Members preparing to enter military service are requested to notify their branch-managers of this fact immediately upon induction or enlistment, because dues paid on accidental death benefit and sick benefit certificates cannot be accepted by the Home Office from members in military service. If a member already has paid such dues, they should be refunded to him for the month in which he enlisted or was inducted. If the dues already have been remitted to the Home Office, they will be refunded upon notice by the branch manager that the member has entered military service. There are no hopeless situations; there are only men Who have grown hopeless about them. You are getting pretty old when you feel as young as you ever did. He who would eat the kernel must crack the shell. (Plautus) An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity.
