JOHN SOROVETZ The Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church in Detroit, Mich., was the scene of the colorful Wedding ceremonies uniting in marriage John Sorovetz, son of Mr. and Mi’s. Andrew Sorovetz, of 8175 Rathbone Ave., and Anna Szabó, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Szabó of 8531 South St. The Rev. Father Andrew Jakab officiated at the ceremonies. Best man was Andrew Sorovetz and ushers were Frank Mlodzik, Zitmur.d Tyszkowszki, John Mikus, Stephen Szabó, Jr., and Joseph Szabó. The bride was attended by Angela Szabó, Mary Mlodzik, Joan Calabris, Shirley Kokai, Lorraine Novak and Irene Kar. Roger Messe carried the ring and Anne Marie O’Neil and Sharon Lovas were the flower-girls. A wedding banquet was given in the evening in the large hall of Holy Cross Church where several hundreds of friends and well-wishers appeared to present the newlyweds with innumerable gifts and best wishes. A delicious dinner had been prepared by Mrs.' Michael Nagy, Mrs. John Kovács, Mrs. Jo­seph Denes, Mrs. Frank Fehérvári, Mrs. Frank Buzsik, Mrs. John Kovács of Melville St., and Mrs. Bela Mezo. The beautiful and delightful wedding cake was made and donated by Mrs. Emery Shori, while Mrs. Emery Szalay, Mrs. Stephen Varga, Mrs. Louis Sulok, Mrs. John Pachy, Mrs. John Gaspar, Mrs. Balint Kuslitz and Mrs. Paul Kokai made the pastries served on this occasion. The bride was born in Agyagosszereny, Sopron County, Hungary. She came to this country with her parents in 1938. The groom is a native of Greensboro, Pa. After a honeymoon to Washington, D. C., the newlyweds made their home with the parents of the bride. The members of Branch 36 extend their congratulations and best wishes for all the happiness in the world to John Sorovetz, the happy groom, and his beautiful and charming bride. W. Rettmann to Field Manager of the Association, has been filled by the appointment of DISTRICT MANAGER LESLIE J. DUS. former manager of branches 17, Lorain, and 107, Elyria, who has assumed the management of the East Side District Office on October 1st, 1950, on which d.ite his appointment had been unanimously approved by the regular monthly meeting of the members of Branch 14. In addition to assuming the management of branches 14 and 366, District Manager Mr. Dus continues as the manager of Branch 573, also in Cleveland. Members of these branches are requested to pay their dues and report all claims to District Manager Leslie J.
