VIOLET J. TÁRCÁI, Attorney Miss Tárcái is the first Hungarian descendant woman to win the candidacy for State Representative. She is the daughter of Louis Tárcái, editor of the Hungarian News, of Cleveland, Ohio, and runs on the Democratic ticket. She is endorsed by the Progressive Citizens’ Committee, the CIO Political Action Committee and the Cleveland Citizens’ League. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Tárcái have two daughters, both lawyers, and all of them are members of Br. 14, Cleveland, O. As a fellowmember, Miss Tárcái is wholeheartedly endorsed by the membership of the Verhovay who will vote for her during the coming elections!---------------— V:-------------------Engagement The members of Branch 35, New York, N. Y., wish to express their best wishes to Miss Erma Choky and Mr. John Vresecky upon their engagement, held on April 20th, at the home of the groom, and attended by the members of the two families and a few close friends. The wedding will take place sometimes in September, the date to be announced later. We join the friends of the young couple in wishing them all the happiness in the world to their coming marriage.----------------v—-------------WANTED CORRESPONDENTS BY GIRLS IN HUNGARY Our “S c r t be of Kőszeg”. Stephen Huzianyi, forwarded to us a letter from 2 girls in Hungary who would be happy to exchange letters with American boys or girls of Hungarian des cent. The are: Tarkó Zsuzsanna Hunyadi utca 24, Pestszentlőrinn Hungary and Horvath Margit Csengeri utca 3, Pestszentlőrinc Hungary. These girls have none through hell and it woud be a great help to their morale if some of our fellowmembers would take it upon themselves to carresnond with them in Hungarian. The Misses Tarkó and Horvath will certainly have a great deal to tell and, at the same time, they would benefit by learning more about our American way of living. Then, too. this would serve as a good opportunity for our second and third generation American Hun darians to improve their know ledge of the Hungarian language How about it, girls . . . and boys?! PRINCE ADDRESSES MEDICAL ASSOCIATION Dayton Hungarians on many past occasions, have been able to point with pride at the achievements of their Hungarian Doctor, Joseph H. Prince, M. D., director of the Verhovay and President of Branch 362, Again last week they learned with pleasure of the honor accorded to him when he was requested to address the Ohio State Medical Association at their Convention held on May 7th, Columbus, O. The topic of Dr. Prince’s address was “PAINLESS CHILDBIRTH”, the widely discussed technique which is speedily gaining recognition. Dr. Prince was amongst the first to become interested in the technique of painless delivery and at present IS THE ONLY DOCTOR IN DAYTON, O., QUALIFIED TO PRACTICE THIS , TECHNIQUE which he learned from its in ventors at Marine Hospital, Staten Island, New York. As a doctor and friend, Dr. Prince is well known not only in Dayton, O., but in Hungarian Communities elsewhere, too. Congratulations, Dr. Prince, we’re proud of you! JULIUS POLICHANY, manager.
