Page 7 * * * SPORT PAGE — Continued + + + TRENTON GAINS LEAD IN VERHOVAY TRI-STATE LEAGUE Trenton 417 gained first place in the Verhovay Tri- State League on Sunday, February 23rd, by defeating the Manville 292 bowling team, and taking all three games. The New York 394, in taking two from Franklin of Branch 9, dropped into second position. J. Fitzgerald’s 234, in the second game, took honors again for high game of the day. Other good scores were J. Toma’s 229, Miklós’ 215, A. Szabo’s 212, and J. Bigg’s 211. New Brunswick was not scheduled to play. Having come out of my hibernating period, I am going to let loose with some bowling news and scores, especially for the month of February, in which month we were very active. In our last regular weekly League bowling, we were holding our own despite the night turns, swing shifts and other inconveniences which make it almost impossible to have a full team out at any time.
