It is worth noting that there is 120 kilometres of wiring installed in the building, so that the use of electric lighting and telephones can facilitate the work being done here. The wiring connects 3,000 lamps, and 350 “internal”, and 180 “public” telephones. For the same purposes the building has a pneumatic postal system involving 46 “stations” and 5,500 metres of copper tubes.

It is interesting and characteristic at the same time that apropos of the description Alpár criticised Lechner’s style in a sophisticated manner meant to be understood by the initiate.
