THE BUILDING OF THE BUDA SAVINGS BANK AT THE CORNER OF Fö UTCA and Adam Clark tér, designed by József Hild, has been destroyed the upper floors behind the street-side facade there were elegant suites accessible from a circular stairway supported by a cast-iron structure located behind the corner dome. Ybl also designed the huge building to house the second branch office of the bank, erected on a plot between Baross utca and Múzeum utca near Kálvin tér. The apartment building of the bank was built 1872-74, and until his death Ybl himself lived there in a corner-suite overlooking the National Museum. (The building, damaged in the Second World War, was later demolished.)
