Polish altar in the Chapel of the Rock The cloister and the chapel were returned to the Pauline order in 1989. Re-construction was completed by 1992, external renovation by 2000. It took several years to replace the interior furnishings. Entering the Chapel of the Rock, which is dedicated to the Holy Virgin of Hungarians, through the finely crafted cast iron grid gate the visitor arrives in an open, cave-like hall, from where a narrow tunnel leads into the subterranean chapel. Passing two niches for praying one is lead to the chapel of the Madonna of Czechostowa, separated from the rest by a cast iron fence, which was made in Poland, All three elements of the fence are decorated by angels holding coats of arms: the one on the left-hand side holds the coat of arms of Hungary, the one in the middle that of the Pauline order and the one on the right that of Poland.
