Advertisement of the Hotel Central AT THE TORN OF OF THE CENTURY Imperial housed a German military hospital in 1939. The Central was burnt down in 1945. In the fifties, the former Imperiál was restored and significantly extended. With the old construction “built around”, and part of the old fagade restored to its original condition, the building was reopened in 1964 as the Hotel Szabadság (Liberty). In another twenty years the hotel, which met every requirement of the age in terms of comfort, was reconstructed once again. The high-quality renovation work was supervised by architect János Róth.
