The fauna of the area is also quite rich. This is the only occurrence in Hungary of a rare butterfly, the yellow-banded haybutterfly. Among the rare bird species nesting in the nature conservation area harrier, lanner, red-footed falcon, long-eared owl, curlew, bittern, sandpiper and warbler are the most important. Part of the alder swamp forest is open to the public. Visitors can use the parking lots, picnic areas, trails, shelters and bicycle paths. 47
