Having come this far, we might as well end our historical journey, as nearly everything important has been said, considering that we never undertook an exhaustive exposition of our subject. We could then finish our story here, if we did not have a romantic and perfectly rounded off tale to tell.

The tale involves a Székely craftsman of many talents, who was discovered and then supported by the Counts Teleki in Marosvásárhely at the beginning of the 19th century. This master of all trades built a wondrous automatic mechanism, a large musical well-house, which offered water in the city’s market place.
