The Hungarian branch of the International Red Cross celebrated the 11 Oth anniversary of its founding in 1991. Although according to international practice, it is not concerned with Hungarian health care, its activity, services and information is a valuable help to foreign visitors, too.

Unfortunately, like every charity organization, the Red Cross, too, has become increasingly important lately. Unfortunately, because it is facing new challenges: helping the homeless, the large number of refugees in need of camps, temporary dwellings, and organizing relief convoys to neighbouring countries.
