A FORMER ELECTRIC SUBSTATION VII, Kazinczy utca 21 In the heart of the city, in a narrow little street stands the Electrotechnical Museum. In the courtyard here we can see the DC transformer house built in 1893, during the heroic age of electrification. Edison paid a visit here in 1911. In front of the little transformer house, along the line of the street, a new 30/10 kV electric substation was built in 1934. It was designed by the architects Gersten- berger and Arvé. The old transformer house ceased working in 1968, and the electric substation in 1976.
