Matits Ferenc: Protestant Churches - Our Budapest (Budapest, 2003)

■ The main ha fade oh the church symmetrically. Marble plaques with family coats of arms commemorating, among others, the names of Szabolcs Horthy of Nagybánya (the Regent’s brother) and the assassinated prime minister Count István Tisza (1861—1918). Above these are the escutcheons of Hungary and of the Reformed Church. The nave admits 1200 worshippers. Six hundred of these are seated in thirty oak pews mounted on a platform. Across from the pulpit, arranged in a staggered pattern, there is a balcony seating another one hundred. Lying 1.2 metres beneath ground level in the basement is the 65-square-metre, four-metre high great hall seating 360. Charitable assemblies and lectures are held here. 59
