A whale skeleton under the military academy
■ Pauage down to the he lobby area: a huge aquarium will be initalled here than a single millimetre afterwards. Stepping on a glass plank the visitor will walk over a real-life water shore. The permanent exhibition will be installed in a hall with a surface area of nearly two thousand square metres, lit through a glass pyramid from above. Below the visitors' areas will be storage and maintenance facilities. There will be a subterranean car park below the lobby (with a capacity of sixty-four cars) with a storehouse underneath. Beneath the permanent exhibition hall there will be a bookstore, and the storage facilities of the paleontology collection will be housed on the deepest level. The museum’s laboratories will be located in the old cellars. The new, subterranean areas of the museum are themselves curiosities of natural-historical interest. Work was carried on in a Sarmatian layer related to the rock of the Kőbánya area; no wonder that undergraduate students of geology were frequent visitors to the excavation pits. Petrified remains of crustaceans were found here in large quantities. 25
