A keskeny kőhíd nem bírta tovább a megnövekedett forgalmat, és 1948-ban kiszélesítették. A híd környékének arculata is megváltozott, ma lakótömbök sora fogadja a városba érkezó'ket, de a történelmi eseményekre ma is emlékeztetnek, a hely szellemét ma is felidézik a közelben levő emlékek: a Hétkápolna a források vizével, a Liget és a Honvédemlékmű. A Kőhídon, a város déli kapujában immár több mint két és fél évszázada kelnek át gyalogosan, szekérrel, taligával, autóval vagy akár kerékpárral, és emlékeztetik az utast a dicsőséges múltra. Vándor, ha erre jársz, menj tovább, és ismerkedj meg szépséges városunkkal! Szent Tádé, emeld fel a magukra maradottakat, hogy ne veszítsék el bátorságukat! Saint Thaddeus, raise the ones left for themselves, so not to lose their courage! The narrow Stone Bridge could no longer sustain the increased amount of traffic and was widened in 1948. The area surrounding the bridge has changed also. Today lines of apartment buildings welcome travellers, but the nearby monuments, namely the Seven Chapel with its spring water, the Park, and the Army Monument still remind us of historical events and evoke the spirit of the place. People have been crossing Stone Bridge at the southern gate of the city on foot, by wagon, with hand barrow, by car, or even by bike, reminding passengers of the glorious past for more than two and a half centuries. Die schmale Steinbrücke konnte dem wachsenden Straßenverkehr nicht mehr standhalten und wurde im fahre 1948 vergrößert. Die Umgebung der Brücke hat sich mit den Jahrhunderten auch stark verändert, die Reisenden werden heute von Wohnhäuserreihen empfangen. An die historischen Ereignisse erinnern uns die Siebenkapelle mit der Heilquelle, das Landwehrmann- Denkmal und das Lustwäldchen. Über die Steinbrücke kommt man zu Fuß, mit Wagen, Karren, Auto, sogar mit dem Fahrrad, und die Brücke erinnert alle an der prunkvolle Vergangenheit. Wanderer, wenn Du hier vorbeikommst, geh weiter und lerne unsere wunderschöne Stadt kennen! Kamenny most pri juznej bráne mesta uz viac ako 250 rokov slúzi pre chodcov, konské povozy, vozíky, automobily a bicykle, cestujúcim pripomína slávnu minulosf. Cestovateí, ak chodís okolo, príd' (falej a spoznaj nase krásne mesto!
