Q^VL the last decade the local authority was reborn, the clerical institutions regained their confiscated buildings, the scenes of civic life, associations and foundations, were reorganised anew. During the free competition numerous factories were terminated, or privatised, but several new big and small enterprises were established. Qy he one time feudal, manufacturing and commercial market town, then "industrial town", later "town of schools", and "town of music" nowadays reviving the myth of the "Baroque Vác", the golden days of the past, and joining its own image to the new era, creates the civic Vác. The natural conditions of the town, the hospitable approach of the inhabitants, the cultural life, the renewed coat of arms and monuments, the restored castle, the Baroque Main Square, the Cathedral, the Stone Gate, the War Memorial, the bank of the Danube, the bridge with the stone figures of saints and the Calvary provide sufficient base, and appeal for local people and visitors alike. (O/he town is proudly heralding itself with its motto: "This is where something always happens". In dem freien Wirtschaftswettbewerb wurde eine Reihe von Fabriken geschlossen oder privatisiert, aber mehrere neue Groß- und Kleinunternehmen wurden auch gegründet. ^5 ie ehemalige Acker Stadt mit den Bauern, Handwerkern und Händlern, dann „Industriestadt", „Schulenstadt", „Musikstadt" erweckt neulich den Mythos des „barocken Vác", der Blütezeit der Vergangenheit der Stadt, und verbindet mit dieser Epoche sein eigenes neues Gesicht, damit erneut ein bürgerliches Vác entsteht. Dazu können für die hier lebenden Menschen und die herkommenden Gäste die geographischen Gegebenheiten, die Gastfreundschaft, das kulturelle Leben, das alt-neue Städtewappen und die Sehenswürdigkeiten von Vác, wie die rekonstruierte Burg, der barocke Hauptplatz, die Kathedrale, das Steintor (Kőkapu), das Soldatendenkmal, die Donau-Promenade, die Brücke mit den Heiligenstatuen aus Stein und der Kalvarienberg als genügende Grundlage und Anziehungskraft dienen. ^^nsere Stadt wirbt für sich heute stolz unter dem Motto „Hier ist immer was los!".
