Name______________________________________ Address____________________________________ City ________________State_____Zip_______ FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY GABRIEL and JOLANDA CZERNAI, of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, celebrated their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary on May 1st, 1907. A Mass was offered by Father Stephen Kats at the St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, the same church they were married in by Father John Rethy on May 1, 1937. Mrs. Czernai is the former Jolanda Pederi. Gabriel and Jolanda are the parents of Theresa Marie Girhiny, Pharmacist; Joseph Czernai, Accountant, Office Manager of Royal Insurance Company of Toronto, Canada; and Marian Casas, Dietician at Baylor University. Mr. Czernai started working for the Rákóczi Aid Association in 1935. In 1937, Jolanda joined him in his work, and together they were active in Social and Fraternal Life among Hungarian people. In 1950, the Rákóczi Aid Association of Bridgeport, Connecticut elected him director of the Association. He served four years in that capacity. After the Rákószi Aid Association merged with other Hungarian Fraternal Associations, forming the William Penn Association, he served four years as director of the new Fraternal Association. Mr. Czernai worked hard to make the merger a success. The William Penn Association is presently the biggest Hungarian Fraternal Group. After working 42 years for United States Steel Corporation, he retired on January 31, 1975. That same day his wife, Jolanda, retired from Continental Can Company, where she had worked for 23 years. Mr. Czernai, for many years, was the president of the United Magyar Civic Association of Western Pennsylvania. This Assocation celebrated it's Fiftieth Anniversary in 1975. Mr. and Mrs. Czernai have been ardent supporters of the HETF from the beginning, for which we are grateful. The HETF Membership joins with their family and friends asking God's blessings upon them for many, many years to come. HUNGARIAN EIGHTH TRIBE FOUNDATION P.O.
