Henry Schroder Bank and Trust Company, the American banking, trust and leasing businesses of Schröders P.L.C., also British Merchant Bank has announced the elevation of PETER RONA, presently an executive vice-president, to the office of President and Chief Executive Officer. Peter Rona, a graduate of Penn State University, received his doctorate from Oxford (England) University, is the son of Mrs. Gizella Rona of Washington, D.C., editor of the Washingtoni Krónika. Mrs. Rona and son, Peter, left Hungary in 1956. ERNEST L. KÖNNYŰ Candidate for Congress Mr. Könnyű is a member of the California Assembly since 1980, now he is running for Congress from the Silicon Valley on the Republican ticket. Mr. Könnyű is the son of László and Elizabeth Könnyű of St. Louis, Missouri. Ernie and his wife, Lillian have been married for 26 years. They have four daughters: Carol, Renata, Lisa and Victoria. They are living in Saratoga, California. He was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force and now a Major in the Air Force Reserve, he is committed to a strong national defense. * * * ANDRAS KORODI, conductor of the Hungarian Philharmonic Orchestra, Budapest, was guest-conductor of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Tucson, Arizona on February 9th, 1986. At the reception given, honoring the visiting conductor were Dr. and Mrs. Tamas Zsitvay representing the Hungarian-American Club of Tucson. The Club recently donated a Hungarian Flag to the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Clinic in Tucson, Arizona.
