CLUB NEWS Famous Golf Pro To Co-Chair Tournament NEW BRUNSWICK - Julius Boros, the noted professional golfer, will be the honorary chairman of the Third Annual Golf Tournament benefiting the American Hungarian Foundation on Monday, July 16, 1984, at the Forsgate Country Club in Jamesburg, New Jersey. László Szabó, the co-chairman of the tournament and director of the Middlesex Country Health Depart­ment, plan to have over 100 New Jersey golfers participating in the golf tournament. Bagyi July, 1984 “Pontozo ’84” a Hit NEW BRUNSWICK - ‘‘Pontozo ’84”, the Hungarian Folk Dance and Music Festival held at Rutgers University recently, was a spec­tacular success! Sponsored by the American-Hungarian Folklore Cen­trum, the Canadian-Hungarian Folklore Association (Ontario), and the Hungarian Civic Association, in cooperation with Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey, “Pontozo ’84”, according to Judith Magyar of the American-Hungarian Folklore Centrum, is a “showcase for Hungarian folk culture as it is nur­tured on American soil.” Hungarian Folk Dance and Folk Music Ensembles from all over North America took part in the festival, while the featured guest artists were the Delibab Folk Ensemble of Debrecen and Zsuzsanna Vincze and Zoltán Zsurafszky of Budapest. The festival was followed by a “Folk Dance Party” to the music of the Delibabs. “The Tanya” Announces New Officers LANSDALE, PA. - The Philadelphia & Vicinity Hungarian Sport Club, which owns and operates “The Tanya”, a 120-acre sport and recrea­tional facility in Hereford, Penn­sylvania, recently announced its new Board of Officers and Directors for 1984-85 as follows: President, Joseph Szodfridt; Vice-President, Alajos Remetei; Secretary, Antal Di Sandri; Treasurer, Bela Ughy; Correspon­ding Secretary (Hungarian), Miklós Rozsos; Corresponding Secretary (English), László Lengyel.
