May God Bless all of you, Franklin A. Somosky Cypress, Texas Dear Mr. Chomos: Enclosed is our check in the amount of $25.00, to renew our subscription to the Eighth Tribe magazine and for membership to the Eighth Tribe Foundation. I enjoy reading the magazine and do find it informative. I am a third generation Magyar, whose dream came true this past summer, my husband and I traveled to Magyarország and visited many many relatives in Csetény, Veszprém Megye for five weeks. We also spent time in Budapest, which is a beautiful city with many things to see and do. We visited at the Balaton, Székesfehérvár, Tihany, Panonhalma and many other lovely places. I have never experienced such an out pouring of love as we did this past summer while visiting my Grandparents homeland. My husband who is not a Magyar enjoyed every minute of our trip also, even though I had to translate constantly he promised all the relatives that on our return trip in a couple of years he would be able to converse with them. I truly urge all who are of Hungarian heritage to visit the country of our ancestors, it will be an unforget - able experience. Sincerely, Evelyn Nagy McCorkle Bethel Park, Pennsylvania Dear Sir: Please accept my $10.00 for the 1983 subscription to the Eighth Hungarian Tribe magazine. Nagy Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania THE EARLY HUNGARIANS A new book, just published, on the earliest history of the Hungarian Nation by TIBOR E. BARÁTH of Toronto, Canada. This new book written in English shows to the reader the origin of the Hungarians and their first civilization, — according to recent historical research. In the new light, the Hungarians seem to have come from the Ancient Near East — Mesopotamia, Egypt and Syria —where the first Higher Civilization flourished. Their westward moving tribes reached the Middle Danube Basin already in the Neolitic times and had laid the foundation of the future Hungary. In the subsequent periods Scythians, Huns and half- Turkised Árpád-Hungarians added their own ethnic and cultural contribution to the existing heritage, whereby the People acquired its final characteristic by the end of the Ninth Century, A.D. This 248 page book (soft cover) can be ordered from the Author: P. O. Box 697, Station “B”, Montreal, Canada H3B 3K3. Send Money Order only: U.S.A. $12.00; Canada $15.00 per copy and an additional $1.00 for postage and handling. Please mention that you saw it in this magazine. — Give a Gift Subscription to your Children and Grandchildren — 2nnE2nnnQQEf2f!2i2í2HnGn!2EHE2E?E3HEnnnEQQnEZEZÍ3E33QEÍ
