Starting in September, 1979, the University of Pittsburgh is offering a course on “Hungarian Language and Culture.” In addition to the study of the Hungarian language, the course consists of lectures and slide presentations on various aspects of Hungarian history, literature, music, folk art, current life, etc. The lectures are followed by short, English language films and by question and answer sessions. The course is under the direction of Dr. Agnes H. Vardy, Associate Professor, Robert Morris College and Dr. Steven B. Vardy, Professor of History and Director of the Duquesne University History Forum. The second semester will begin during the last week of January, 1980.
