Concering the book “Kossuth—Champion of Liberty”; up to date we have received 1 Church ordering 5 books and 21 individual orders: total 26. In case you are not familiar with the subject: The Bethlen Press has in its possession a manuscript “Kossuth—Champion of Liberty”, a collection of poetry in poetic and prose form which appeared in American papers about Louis Kossuth’s visit to America. The book will be around 500 pages and will cost $15.00.

The past month we received only two pledges to purchase the book. Please send in your order — no money, just your pledge if we do not receive enough advance orders the book might not be published.

At the risk of being repetitious:

We ask all our readers to be representatives for The Eighth Tribe in their churches, clubs or among friends. If you’d like some sample copies for distribution, please write, requesting the number of copies you require. Within reason, we will attempt to accomodate all requests. The praise we have received from all over the country is gratifying, but does not increase our subscriptions. This magazine belongs to every American - Hungarian of all generations and we should continue our efforts to reach each one. As an example, churches and clubs could take advantage of our special grouprate for fund-raising, i.e. collect $8.00 for each subscription (the standard price) and send us only $7.00 (the group-rate).

From time to time, we send out complimentary copies of our magazine, usually 2 consecutive issues, to introduce the Eighth Tribe to new readers. If you are currently receiving our magazine on this basis, we encourage you to read it and assess its value to you. We hope you’ll decide to join the growing Eighth Tribe Family.
