Summer The scent of summer fills the air In blossoms growing everywhere, In perfume of the new mown grass, In moist swift showers as they pass. The sight of summer fills the land With leafy green on every hand; The eager birds, the restless breeze, The open roads that call and tease. The love of summer fills the heart With thoughts no mortal can impart; But when her silver moon is hung, Old dreams are new, and life is young. 10 The Messenger
