Upcoming Events The following events will be held at Ligonier Gardens and Bethlen Home during the months of September and October. Families are welcome to attend and participate in any of our programs. LIGONIER GARDENS - SEPTEMBER Tuesday, 6th: Bible Study at 10:00 a.m. in the Sun Room by the women of the Heritage Methodist Church. Thursday, 8th: Enjoy the wonderful sounds of Kevin Solecki and his accordion at 1:30 p.m. Monday, 26th: Resident Council will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Sun Room. Thursday, 29th: What better way to celebrate the apple season then to have a special treat from Brusters’ Ice Cream Cart with some exciting fall flavors. Join us in the Linden Room for your sweet treat starting at 2:00 p.m. THE BETHLEN HOME - OCTOBER LIGONIER GARDENS - OCTOBER Thursday, 6th: Come and listen to the wonderful sound of Earnest Papay and his piano at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, 20th: Enjoy the entertainment of Joe Marrotta at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, 29th: From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Trick or Treaters!!!! TRICK OR TREAT From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2005 we are inviting the children to come and Trick or Treat at ourfacility. There will be doorto-door trick-or-treating and afterwards punch and snacks will be available. Please call Lisa and R.S.V.P. by October 15, 2005. THE BETHLEN HOME - SEPTEMBER Thursday, 1st: The VFW Kooties are back after a summer break. Join us for bingo at 6:30 p.m. in the Linden Room the first Thursday of each month. Tuesday, 6th: Entertainment by the Joy Bells at 2:00 p.m. in the Linden Room. Tuesday, 4th: Entertainment at 2:00 p.m. in the Linden Room. Thursday 6th: VFW Bingo at 6:30 p.m. in the Linden Room. Wednesday, 12th: October is “Show Off Your Favorite Teddy Bear Month”. Please bring your favorite teddy bear, and join us for an Afternoon Tea Party at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, 15th: October is also known as being Pizza Month. Join us for a Pizza and Bingo Party at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, 20th: Gourmet coffee is always an added treat. Join us for an afternoon of taste testing flavored coffees during National Coffee Month. Join us for a fun-filled week of Halloween activities from carving pumpkins, playing games to making your own masks for the Halloween Party starting Sunday, 23rd through Monday, October 31st. Saturday, 29th: Residents will have the opportunity to distribute treats to our employees’ children and grandchildren during our annual Halloween Walk from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon. Monday, 31st: Happy Halloween everyone! Be sure to dig out your Halloween mask you made this week and wear it to our Halloween Party at 2:00 p.m. Entertainment to be provided plus Brusters’ Ice Cream will be serving some pumpkin treats. Join us for “Back to School” week starting Sunday the 11th through the 17th. Tuesday, 13th: In honor of Milton Hersheys’ Birthday, a treat of Hershey chocolates will be distributed during the afternoon. Saturday, 17th: Entertainment at 1:30 p.m. in the Linden Room. Wednesday, 21st: Country music and dance lovers will enjoy watching the Posse Line Dancers at 7:00 p.m. in the Linden Room.
