Pastoral Care Rev csata Toth “The Lord is my light and me salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent He will set me high on the rock.” Psalm 27:1,5 The Lord is the stronghold of our lives. That means He is our strength and stability, our ever-present help in times of trouble. He is our safe haven, our strong tower, and our fortress. He provides us with security, peace and comfort. We can continually run to Him for protection from all harm. Our God is a might fortress! He’s a never failing “bulwark” which is defined as a solid wall - like raised for defense. The Lord will defend us in the storms of life; He is also our defense against the enemy. In everything we do for His glory, God strengthens us for the task with His mighty power. When you make God your stronghold in life, you will not waver in faith like you’re on a spiritual roller coaster. No matter what happens or what doesn’t happen, you can remain stable and immovable, protected because you abide in the secret place of the most High, “under the shadow of the Almighty” (Ps.91:1) When God is your strength and stronghold in life, nothing can affect you. Even when the devil tries to attack you, or when circumstances change, or when things don’t go like you think they should, you can stand strong knowing that nothing can shake you from God’s firm and loving hold on your life. We can always rest safe and secure by staying in God’s stronghold of protection! What is God’s stronghold of protection? It's found in His Word. It’s found by dwelling in His Presence. When you dwell in God’s Presence, fortified with His Word, you gain courage and confidence in your God. You know He’s faithful to take care of you in every situation. Psalm 27:5 says “For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; He will set me high on the rock.” The Bible says that in times of trouble, God will set us high upon a rock. Who is the Rock? Jesus Christ! When God sets us high above circumstances on Jesus, the Rock of Ages, nothing can touch us because He is our protection. KEGYELEM Először sírsz. Azután átkozódsz. Aztán imádkozol. Aztán megfeszíted Körömszakadtig maradék-erőd. Akarsz, egetostromló akarattal — S a lehetetlenség konok falán Zúzod véresre koponyád. Azután elalélsz. S ha újra eszmélsz, mindent újra kezdesz. Utoljára is tompa kábulattal, Szótalanul, gondolattalanul Mondod magadnak... mindegy, mindhiába: A bűn, a betegség, a nyomorúság, A mindennapi szörnyű szürkeség Tömlöcéből nincsen, nincsen menekvés! Akkor — magától — szűnik a vihar, Akkor — magától — minden elcsitul, Akkor — magától — éled a remény. Álomfáidnak minden aranyágán Csak úgy magától — friss gyümölcs terem. Ez a magától:ez a Kegyelem. Faith means searching for the divine plan in events that bless us as well as events that try our souls. This is the seesaw truth of trust — to sense God’s hand in both turmoil and tranquility. Hold on tight through the ups and downs of life. Trust-in-God Therapy Carol Ann Morrow
