The Bethlen Home Messenger, The Messenger, 2003 (1-5. szám)

Sctüritieö During this last year, as we “waited”, we also worked, And as we look back, we realize that the wait has been worth its while. Not only do we now have a building, which will be less expensive to build, but we have a building on paper which will be even more efficient in facilitating the care our residents need. The lesson for us: God’s vision for the project was not fully satisfied one year ago. So we “waited upon Him” and worked, “trusting in Him” to reshape the project more to His liking. As we stand on this newest “threshold” of financing, no one can say for sure that God is ready for the construction to begin. We feel He is, we hope He is, and we have a healthy confidence that this time, financing will be made available. But if, by His design, it is not yet God’s time for construction, we will have still affirmed the valuable lesson of Ecclesiastes: “Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses.” And, The Bethlen Home-Ligonier Gardens community will continue to “wait upon our Gracious Lord”, working with Him and “trusting in Him” that He will eventually “bless the work of our hands!” On behalf of the residents, staff and the Board of Directors, I wish to thank the many, many people who stand in support of The Bethlen Home, the Ligonier Gardens, the Retirement Village, The Bethlen Home Cultural Center and the Bethlen Institute for Church Development during these exciting times, Through your prayers, visits, volunteer projects and donations, you keep The Bethlen Home ministry alive! May God continue to bless you, as you live “waiting upon” and “trusting in” Him! Sincerely, ß&A ílfctí?-—-az Isten terve szerinti alkalmas időt,amikor az építkezés kezdetét veheti. Erős hittel bízunk, hogy Ő helyben hagyja újabb terveinket és a pénzügyi feltételek megvalósulnak. Közben megszívleljük a Prédikátorok Könyve bölcs tanítását: Minden, ami ebben a világban történik, végső fokon Isten menetrendjét követi. Szeretettel, SEPTEMBER SOUNDS I am sentient to the sounds of fall: The soughing breeze, the cricket’s call, The noise of bins being filled with coal As down the chutes the great chunks roll, The rustle of the scattering leaves Which every sweeping gust achieves, The distant, rhythmic hammering sound As on leaky roofs the workmen pound, The children lagging home from school Discussing loudly some new rule, The blackbirds’ chatter in the trees; September sounds are such as these. And they are true reminders all That winter soon will follow fall. EMPLOYEE AND CHILD HALLOWEEN WALK AT THE BETHLEN HOME Employees are encouraged to bring their children and grandchildren in for our first Halloween Walk which will be held on Saturday, October 25th at 2:00 p.m. The children will have the opportunity to dress up in their favorite costumes and go trick or treating among our residents’ rooms where they will receive a special treat from the resident participating in the walk. Following the walk, refreshments will be provided. Details will be posted closer to the event for the employees to sign up their loved one.
