jfrom tíje ©eök of tïje 9tmtíníőtrator My first year as the Administrator here at the Bethlen Home has come and gone. It has been a privilege to witness the many wonderful events that take place for our residents, staff and families. The picnics, resident outings, dances, special programs, pastoral support, holiday affairs and the normal activity that happens on a daily basis are just a few examples that create a sense of wanting to belong. I truly marvel at the care, commitment and dedication that our staff provides to our residents. The Home continues to work hard in bring the building project to fruition. Working diligently with our architects, we have reached the design development cost estimation portion of the project. The master plan of providing a continuum of care along with the mission and vision of The Bethlen Home to the Hungarian people and the community of the Ligonier Valley is at a critical juncture. In light of increasing costs to the project, the home has since contracted with KPMG, a long-term care accounting firm, to provide a feasibility study to more thoroughly analyze market demands, demographic data and proforma calculations. We feel this will greatly enhance the health care services offered in years to come. While these issues will be resolved in the near future, it will not deter The Home from completing the work the Strategic Planning Committee initiated some four (4) years ago. Autumn has set in and we anxiously look forward to the Holiday Season. It will be a time to give thanks and reflect on how truly blessed we, as a home, have been over the last eighty (80) years. This is a reflection of the employees, residents, families and all those who have been called to duty in her honor for performing so admirably. May God Bless You and find you well in this season of joy. Thank you for your continued support of The Home's mission and vision. Sincerely, Mike Walker, NHA
