çAxttfnig pltgljitgljis SALUTE TO THE STATUE OF LIBERTY A TRIBUTE TO FATHER Above the Harbor's busy thoroughfare, Her right arm lifts a torch for all to see, Her left hand holds a symbol to declare That, under God, we all may here be free. In friendship and goodwill she was conceived By those who cherished freedom for their own, Whose fathers died for that which they believed, Who in the face of tyranny had sown The seeds that gave the common man new birth, And clothed him in the cloth of dignity, Those seeds whose roots had fertilized our earth And first made green the leaves of liberty. God help us keep this torch of freedom bright Above the troubled waters of our time, That they who walk in darkness shall have light, And peace may still reward our upward climb. THEY CALLED IT AMERICA God built him a continent of glory, and filled it with treasures untold. He studded it with sweet flowing fountains, and traced it with long-winding streams. He carpeted it with soft rolling prairies, and columned it with thundering mountains. He graced it with deepshadowed forests, and filled them with song. A father is a guiding light Sent to us from above. He listens to our sorrows And soothes them with his love. A father is a teacher Whose place no one could take, For he's the source from which We learn to think and navigate. A father is a gift from God From which we learn to be Patient, strong and loving, Filled with integrity. JUNE IS NURSING ASSISTANT MONTH The Administrative Staff would like to "Thank" all the Certified Nursing Assistants for all the hard work and endless efforts that they put forth for our Residents each and every day. Many days and months can go by without hearing a word of "Thanks" but, whether you realize it or not, you are very much appreciated by your other staff members, Residents and their families. You are a very vital part of our Nursing Home and Residents' life. In honor of Nursing Assistant's Day, refreshments will be served in the afternoon. Details will be posted by the time clock for date and time. Then He called unto a thousand peoples and summoned the bravest among them. They came from the ends of the earth, each bearing a gift and a hope. The glow of adventure was in their eyes, and in their hearts, the glory of hope. And out of the bounty of earth and the labor of men; out of the longing of heart and the prayer of souls; out of the memory of ages and the hopes of the world, God fashioned a nation in loe, and blessed it with purpose sublime. And they called it America. Executive Director..................Rev.
